Zoetica Ebb is a fabulous artist who writes one of the blogs that I read on a regular basis. She is also one of the editors of Coilhouse, an independent magazine. I’ve thought of ordering a copy online, but I’m such a sucker for instant gratification. I never imagined that a copy would ever find itself in Salt Lake City without an intended home already in mind, so I was absolutely thrilled when I found one at Barnes & Noble!!
I am mesmorized my the beauty and inspired by the layout. This issue has a supernatural theme and smoke blows through the pages, tying it together.
Nubby Twiglet (another of my favorite blogs) is one of the graphic designers who worked on this, and I could spot her custom type treatments on so many of the pages. Absolutely beautiful! I’m ashamed to say that I have yet to read all of the articles, but the art alone is worth the cover price. If you’re interested in tracking down your own copy, check out the Coilhouse website.
